My Cosplay Highlights and the Future of My Cosplaying

Ever since March 2023, the month of when my first con happened, I wanted to start going to cons and dress up in cosplay like the met people I've seen and met in that convention and on the internet. So, I decided to start cosplaying.

Me as Jacket from Hotline Miami

My first ACTUAL cosplay was Jacket from Hotline Miami. I had used whatever resources I had on hand to pull of this cosplay. My clothes, a pair of sneakers, my mom's hand-me-down letterman jacket, and a rubber chicken mask I had bought from Lazada was all it took to get my journey into cosplaying started.

The first time I debuted my Jacket cosplay, and perhaps my first proper cosplay in a con, was in Fancon last April of this year. There, I would meet a lot of people there. Some of them asking to have their pics taken with me, and some vice versa where I would be the one asking. I felt really happy at the time, because it truly felt I was part of the cosplay community. In that same convention I would also meet the staff of RFX Productions, which would be the start of our friendship. Ever since then, I've been cosplaying as Jacket for every con I've been to so far: Ozine Fest Wildcard (April 2023) and Ozine Fest x BuzzArt Pop Up (August 2023).

When I'm not going to cons, I invest my spare time in tinkering up new cosplays. So far, I've only cosplayed about a handful of characters. Here are some of them:

Tony from Hotline Miami

Ghost from Call of Duty

Connor/Cyberlife Model RK800 from Detroit: Become Human

After my next two cosplays, I'll be taking a break from making cosplays to save up some money. That way I have enough money to be able to attend the entrance fee for cons. Hopefully I'll have enough money for my last 2-4 cons planned this year.

Enough about that, one of the other reasons why I got into cosplay besides as a hobby is so I can get a following and build upon it, turning it into a lifelong career as a content creator. I mean, why else would I blog? I even have lots of stuff planned or dreamed of for my cosplaying ambition. I want to cosplay as Call of Duty characters, specially the ones from the Zombies mode, like Dimension 63 Edward Richtofen (also known as Primis Richtofen). I want to be able to be invited as a guest, or exhibitor, or maybe even as a journalist in events. And I want to be able to collab with my favorite cosplayers, such as Zack Tolosa and Myrtle Sarrosa.
