My Time at Komiket (and How I Started Getting Invested in the Cosplaying World)
A month ago, I was invited by a friend to go to a convention they will be exhibiting in. This convention was called Komiket, a hobby lobby where artists can sell and showcase their own art. Since I've been wanting to get into the cosplaying and convention scene for a while now, I decided to go. Having rummaged my closet, I picked out a casual outfit and decided to cosplay as Kazuma Kiryu from the Yakuza/Like a Dragon franchise (more specifically, his Onomichi outfit from Yakuza 6: The Song of Life).
A few weeks later, the day of the convention would come. I rolled into the convention in my casual cosplay. I was met with the sight of crowds consisting of con-goers and cosplayers. There were so much people in the expo hall that there were even small crowds of cosplayers and people outside the hall.
I decided to roam around for a bit to look for my friend's booth. I even managed to snag some goodies along the way. After some looking around, I managed to find my friend's booth.
Since I was sleeping over with my friend later that evening, I decided to hunker down for a while to say hi and buy some merch from her and her friends and leave my stuff at the booth. I then decided to continue roaming around to see what more goodies I could score for myself. I even managed to score a few pics with some cosplayers. Below are my pics and goodies I took from Komiket!
Going to Komiket was such a fun experience! Because of this, I actually plan to get into cosplaying and go to more conventions in the future! Expect to see me in other conventions real soon!
