Games I Used to Play During My Childhood
Back then, when I was about 5 years old, I used to play video games a lot on my handheld console, the PlayStation Portable (PSP). And when I was a preteen, about 10-12 years old, I used to play games a lot on my uncle's hand-me-down console, the PlayStation 2. I'm here to tell you about the games I loved and cherished the most during my childhood years.
Part 1 - PSP
1. Midnight Club 3: DUB Edition

Midnight Club 3 was one of the first video games I have ever played during my childhood and was one of the first video games I have ever enjoyed playing due to its massive car customization, huge selection of cars and motorcycles to choose from, open-world free-roaming, and fast-paced racing. It's also one of my favorite racing games to this day.
2. Ratchet and Clank: Size Matters
Despite not being able to completely finish this game, Ratchet and Clank: Size Matters was one of my favorite video games on the PSP, due to its gameplay mechanics. The reason why I wasn't able to finish the game was due to a very hard boss battle I couldn't beat.
3. God of War: Chains of Olympus
God of War: Chains of Olympus was the first and only hack-and-slash game I have actually played and enjoyed. Yeah, I know it's too mature for a 5-year-old like I was, but I didn't care about it at the time. I haven't gotten far into it at the time, due to not knowing how to play most video games back then. But, I did revisit this game during my preteen years and have completely run through the game. Anyway, I give this game a solid 10/10.
5. Burnout Legends (and Burnout 3: Takedown, for some reason)
Okay, so despite these games coming from different platforms (Burnout Legends was released for the PSP, while Burnout 3: Takedown was released for the PS2 and Xbox), I had to include both of these in the same part only because they have the same gameplay: taking down racers and wreaking havoc. They're both one of my favorite racing games to this day and are really enjoyable to play due to their gameplay aspects.
Part 2 - PlayStation 2
1. Gran Turismo 4
Gran Turismo 4 (and the Gran Turismo series itself) is one of the greatest racing sims ever made. It was released exclusively for the PlayStation 2 and contained groundbreaking graphics that pushed the PS2 to its limits and required a huge amount of data to handle. Because of the massive content this game contains and punishing AI at harder difficulties, I never got the chance to complete this game. Still, it's pretty fun to play as an after-work relaxation thing.
2. Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas
Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas is one of my favorite video games of all time and one of the games I play when I'm bored or have nothing to do. Despite the game having an overarching story, with CJ starting out as a lowly, car-jacking gangster to him ending up as a manager for a rapper, singlehandedly infiltrating a heavily guarded top-secret military facility, planning a successful casino heist, and singlehandedly taking down a drug ring, I still enjoy playing this game repeatedly due to its massive open-world map and the fun and violent gameplay mechanics.
3. Tekken 4
Tekken 4 was a fighting game I used to play on my PS2 when I wasn't in the mood for racing games or GTA. Despite me not knowing stuff about how to play fighting games, I only played this game for fun, not to learn how to play competitively.
Now that I've told you guys about my childhood games, what are the games you guys played during your childhood? Feel free to comment about them down below!
